Terms of Service
The plain-language rules for using Tech Peace and being a member. Last updated October 15, 2026.
These terms apply to the Tech Peace website at https://www.mytechpeace.com and to Tech Peace memberships, provided by Tech Peace LLC ("Tech Peace," "we," "us"). By creating an account or paying for a membership you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, call us before you sign up.
What Tech Peace provides
Tech Peace is a technology help and advocacy service for older adults and their families: support by phone, email and screen sharing, scam checks, device security help, classes and guides, and in-home visits on plans that include them. What each plan includes is listed on our pricing page.
Tech Peace is not an emergency service, a law enforcement agency, a bank, or an insurance provider, and we do not give legal, medical or financial advice. If you are in danger, call 911. If you believe your money is at risk, contact your bank right away as well.
Your account
Please give us accurate details and keep your password private. We will never ask you for your password, a payment, or a gift card by phone or email. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you can ask us to help family members you trust to be involved.
Memberships and payment
- Memberships are monthly subscriptions, billed in advance by card through Stripe.
- They renew automatically each month until you cancel.
- By paying you authorize us to charge your card the price shown at sign-up each month. We will tell you before changing your price, and the new price only applies if you stay.
- You can cancel at any time. See our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
How you can use the service
Use Tech Peace only for lawful, personal purposes. Please do not misuse the website, interfere with it or try to access other members' information, and do not use our staff or tools to harass anyone.
Help with your devices and accounts
Our team only accesses your devices or accounts with your permission, and for the help you asked for. We give our best advice and work carefully, but technology is unpredictable and we cannot guarantee that a device will be free of problems, that every scam will be caught, or that any particular outcome will result.
Online Companion extension
The Tech Peace Online Companion browser extension is part of the membership on plans that include it. Its handling of data is described in the Online Companion Privacy Policy. Its scam warnings are guidance, not a guarantee, so please stay careful and call us when in doubt.
Our responsibility to you
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is," and Tech Peace is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.

Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date; if a change is significant we will also email you. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
